Annual Review Issue 2024– Call for Proposals

Deadline for nominations: extended to March 1st, 2023

The Editors-in-Chief of Pediatric Research announce the topic of the 2024 Annual Review Issue, entitled "Emerging and Re-Emerging Viral Threats."

Pediatric Research is preparing its Annual Review Issue with the topic, "Emerging and Re-Emerging Viral Threats". The past decade has seen the emergence of new viruses which cause disease in children such as COVID-19 and MIS-C, viruses such as Zika that became newly identified as a teratogen, and others that are re-emerging as the globe warms, such as West Nile Virus. Some viruses have just been overlooked, such as LCMV and are likely responsible for more infections than recognized. This issue will pull together recent information on causes, pathophysiology, treatment and outcomes of these viral threats to children.

This is an excellent opportunity for junior faculty to pair up with senior mentors to develop these reviews! Please note that standard publication page fees are waived for manuscripts included in the Annual Review Issue

Letters of intent should include a proposed title and be sent to info@pedres.org by the deadline. Please include "ARI 2024 Proposal" in the subject line. If proposal is accepted, initial manuscript drafts will be due April 1st, 2023.
