Welcome to the 'ESPR for Women & Diversity' Special Interest Group of the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR)

Empowering women and promoting equality and diversity in Paediatrics are essential goals of the ESPR, to ensure equitable healthcare access, enhance patient care, inspire future generations, challenge biases, and drive innovation. By creating an inclusive environment, we foster a just and inclusive society, improve healthcare outcomes, and encourage diverse perspectives for groundbreaking discoveries. Overall, we want to foster an effective and inclusive healthcare system for all children and families.

    • Equitable healthcare access: Ensure equal access to healthcare for all children by promoting gender equality and diversity in Pediatrics.
    • Improved patient care: Enhance patient care and outcomes by incorporating diverse perspectives and experiences into pediatric practice.
    • Inspire future generations: Encourage young girls to pursue careers in Pediatrics by empowering women and promoting equality and diversity in the field.
    • Challenge biases and stereotypes: Overcome gender biases and stereotypes within the medical field through the empowerment of women, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment.
    • Drive research and innovation: Foster innovation and advancements in Pediatrics by embracing diversity, leading to groundbreaking research and improved healthcare outcomes for children.
