The 'Sub 25/40 Preterm Infants' Special Interest Group
Welcome to the Special Interest Group on Sub 25/40 Preterm Infants of the European Society for Paediatric Research (ESPR)
The Sub 25/40 Preterm Infants SIG brings together a committed international and multidisciplinary network of ESPR researchers, clinicians and family representatives dedicated to improving the care and outcomes of the most premature infants—those born before 25 weeks of gestation.
-
Our objectives
Through international collaboration and family-integrated research, we aim to advance knowledge across the entire care pathway, including perinatal decision-making, delivery-room management, neonatal treatment, family involvement, and long-term health and developmental outcomes. By sharing expertise, developing collaborative research and translating evidence into practice, the SIG seeks to improve treatment, support families and achieve better outcomes for these exceptionally vulnerable infants.
