Call for ESPR Member Initiated Sessions at EAPS 2024

Dear ESPR member,

We are excited to announce the opportunity for you to actively shape the scientific programme of our 2024 annual meeting: the European Academy of Pediatric Societies (EAPS) Congress. It will be held in the captivating city of Vienna on 17-20 October 2024!

We warmly invite you to submit your proposals for member initiated sessions!

Why participate?
Member initiated sessions offer a unique platform for you to share your expertise, research insights, and innovative ideas with a diverse and engaging audience of fellow Paediatric professionals from around the world. This is your chance to contribute to scientific discourse, spark important discussions, and enrich the congress experience for attendees.

What can you propose?
We encourage you to think creatively and propose sessions that cover a wide range of topics within the realm of Paediatric research and practice. Whether you are passionate about clinical breakthroughs, cutting-edge research methodologies, patient-centered care, or healthcare policy, your ideas are valuable and can shape the future of Paediatric healthcare.

Submission guidelines:
  • Session types: Specify whether you are submitting an Educational Symposium (60 minutes), a Short Scientific Session (50 minutes) or a Long Scientific Session (80 minutes).
  • Topic: Clearly define topics which are relevant to Paediatric research, clinical practice, or public health.
  • Speakers: Identify potential speakers and chairs, predominantly from Europe, with diverse perspectives, who can contribute to a comprehensive and well-rounded discussion.
If you would like to propose a topic, please confirm in your email that you have discussed with the proposed speakers; that they are happy in principle to take part, and that you are happy to be the 'session lead' and main point for communication regarding the session.

Submission Deadline: Sunday, 24 September 2023.

How to submit:
Kindly download the session proposal template, fill it in with your proposed scientific session(s), and send it to office@espr.eu. The detailed session requirements you can find on the bottom of the template.

We look forward to receiving your innovative session proposals and working together to create an exceptional and enriching congress experience for all attendees.

Thank you for your dedication to advancing Paediatric research and practice.

Sincerely yours,

Charles Roehr & Deirdre Murray
ESPR President & EAPS-ESPR Scientific Chair
