Launch of the new ESPR Special Interest Group 'Necrotising Enterocolitis'

We are excited to announce the launch of a newly formed ESPR Special Interest Group, the 'Necrotising Enterocolitis' SIG. It is a multi-disciplinary international group of ESPR researchers and stakeholders working together to discover and translate the newest advances in NEC prevention and therapeutics. The group aims to link with the ESPR sections as this is a systemic multiorgan disorder with longer term neurodevelopmental consequences.

The overall aims of the 'Necrotising Enterocolitis' SIG are:
• To enhance collaboration of interested ESPR members, researchers and stakeholders in NEC;
• To help disseminate important discoveries and learning amongst ESPR members in the field of NEC;
• To bring together the NEC research community and broader pediatric/neonatal fraternity to focused symposia and other activities;
• To serve as a platform for young and early career researchers to access world leading research laboratories to further their academic pursuits;
• To harmonise regulatory aspects within the clinical and translational path internationally and linked from bench-to-bedside between Europe and other regions of the world.

If you are interested to join the special interest group 'Necrotising Enterocolitis', please email office@espr.eu.
