ARI 2027- Call for Papers
Proposals due: May 31st, 2026
Pediatric Research is preparing its Annual Review Issue with the topic, "Bilirubin". As knowledge and technology advance, the approach to bilirubin has been changing worldwide. There are rapid developments in point-of-care measurement of bilirubin, including the free portion, new advances in the physical basis of phototherapy and home phototherapy, and increasing understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying bilirubin neurotoxicity. This review issue will summarize the basic translational, clinical, and epidemiologic studies addressing these issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for junior faculty to pair up with senior mentors to develop these reviews! Please note that a faculty member should be the corresponding author so that Springer Nature can identify whether there is a possible Open Access option that is no cost to the authors. Otherwise, standard publication fees are waived for manuscripts included in the Annual Review Issue!
Letters of intent should include a proposed title and be sent to pedres@publishingsolutions.net by the deadline. Please include "ARI 2027 Proposal" in the subject line. If the proposal is accepted, initial manuscript drafts will be due September 1, 2026, to then undergo the peer review process.
Guest Editors: Claudio Tiribelli, Vinod K. Bhutani, Libor Vitek, and Jon Watchko
